Westhampton Woodworking, located in Westhampton, Massachusetts, is the passion project of Jonah Zimmerman. Jonah grew up watching his father in his workshop, and developed an interest in woodworking from a very early age. He enjoyed pretending to construct projects with his plastic children's tools, and wanted to use real tools before the age of 6. With help, Jonah built a toy boat as his first project.  

 

Jonah continued to create pieces of furniture and other projects on and off throughout his life and in 2017 jumped back into woodworking on a more serious level when he teamed up with his partner, Helen, to create serving board and ceramic bowl combinations for holiday presents.

 

Jonah is inspired by the subtle and unique natural beauty of wood and is always searching for wood with interesting grain and color. Supporting local industry is important to Jonah and all of the wood he uses has been purchased from sawmills and lumber yards located in Western Massachusetts.
